PEFA-SP-C

PULSED ERBIUM FIBER AMPLIFIER

PEFA-SP-C series (Pulsed Erbium Fiber Amplifier) are designed to amplify femtosecond and picosecond pulses without pulse distortion.

PEFA-SP-C stands for Pulsed erbium fiber amplifier designed for short pulses amplification without pulse distortion. Therefore, applications like super-continuum and pulse compression or high-speed transmission systems can be performed.

Lumibird patented technology and knowledge acquires over the last 20y years permits to propose devices with high performance and long life duration.

These amplifiers do not change the pulse width either the spectral linewidth through the amplification stages. Up to 1kW peak power is achievable without any distortion of the pulse. They are working over the c-band from 1533 to 1565nm without any efficiency gap.

Fiber amplifiers accept weak average input power range and pulse width from 300 femtosecond to 10 picoseconds. And offer a huge choice of pulse repetition rate from 10MHz to 100GHz.

They deliver up to 33dBm in average power and operate over the c-band. PEFA-SP-C also propose polarization maintaining option for applications like pulse compression.

Lumibird policy is to increase reliability by the use of standard and qualified active and passive optical components from European certified suppliers. This also contributes to secure our supply chain and reduce our carbon impact.

The devices are available in turnkey benchtop or compact OEM modules controlled through R232 for integration. Reliable and rugged, these pulsed fiber amplifiers do not need maintenance. They are easy to use, but on request, Lumibird provides free support.
