Dr Adrien Billat works at EPFL (http://phosl.epfl.ch) located at Lausanne Switzerland. His Lab Photonic systems laboratory (PHOSL) mainly focuses on nonlinear optical.
With regards with his current research Dr Adrien Billat recently acquires a Keopsys Thulium doped fiber amplifier- CTFA – able to deliver up to 2w in the spectral range of 1960 to 2000 nm. With this equipemement, Kerr effect (four waves mixing) in a wave guide (fiber, silicium) pumped around 2µm are studied.
