Unprecedented technological breakthrough in the field of fibered long distance transmissions.

The world record of distance in real conditions by a signal of 38.4 Tbps was beaten. The new distance of 762 km (Lyon-Marseille Lyon) was achieved thanks to a new hybrid fiber amplifier, developed by Keopsys in the Saser-Siegfried project.

The new faster DAC and FPGA technologies have revealed the plain hybrid power amplifiers. Keopsys’ CHFA has been developed with standard components and with a realistic economic approach. It is now available in a robust and compact 120x125x13.5mm module. Proven in harsh environmental conditions, the amplifier provides 21 dBm output power and a gain of 15-25 dB.
