CW Ytterbium-doped Fiber Laser for Second Harmonic Generation




CYFL-MEGA stands for Continuous Ytterbium-Doped Fiber Laser which provides a single mode operation. Thanks to the Lumibird patented design, CYFL-MEGA delivers a linewidth of few MHz up to 20 W of output power. No maintenance is called for this strong fiber laser.

An ytterbium-doped fiber laser with narrow linewidth is the essential tool for second harmonic generation to generate visible light, sensing, component testing. Lumibird provides the CYFL-MEGA which was created after a long time of research and tests.

The CYFL-MEGA series provide single mode operation with a linewidth of a few MHz. And they deliver an output power of 20W also; they exhibit low relative intensity noise (RIN) and high optical power stability. Furthermore, the output beam is diffraction limited either in random or polarized versions. The design of the fiber laser allows the high stability of the polarization.

Standard operating wavelength is 1064nm, although other wavelengths can be requested on a custom basis.

With a high power stability, the fiber laser works over hours. The production manufacturing process ensures that this stability is reproduced for all the units that Lumibird is created.

Finally, these lasers are available in small modules suitable for integration into systems and in friendly benchtops for a laboratory. Modules are monitored by RS232, and benchtops can be driven directly on the front panel and RS232.

No installation is called, the ytterbium fiber laser is easy to install and operate. Run it and forget it.
